Fire Cupping & Gua Sha (30 Minutes) $40
Fire cupping is another ancient therapy that does wonders for muscular injuries and pains. By using a small burning cotton ball, a suction is formed in a glass cup, which is then placed on the problem area. The suction pulls up old blood cells that stuck in the smallest of capillaries up to the surface of the skin - this allows for fresh blood to circulate, improving the flow of both blood and Qi in the area.
Gua Sha is similar to cupping but without the suction. A smooth ceramic spoon is used to gently rub and scrape away at problem areas. Intensity of this therapy can be adjusted to your comfort level.
Cupping and Gua Sha will cause some discolorations for a few days, and patients who are on so called "blood thinners" such as Aspirin, Plavix, Warfarin & Heparin are ineligible for this therapy.
